I like to start my week off by praying a theme for my husband. This week I’ll focus on praying for him to have godly friends. The people he spends the most time with will obviously have a big influence on his life. So praying for godly men who diligently pursue Jesus will be at the top of my prayer list this week.
“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25
Solomon warns us about bad friends in Proverbs 1, reminding us to be careful of the company we keep - to stay away from bad people and all that they plot.
Proverbs 1:10-11 My son, if sinners entice you, Do not consent. If they say, "Come with us, Let us lie in wait to [shed] blood; Let us lurk secretly for the innocent without cause;
Proverbs 1:15 My son, do not walk in the way with them, Keep your foot from their path;
Proverbs 1:16 For their feet run to evil, And they make haste to shed blood.
