Put 2 cups of quick oats in a food processor and pulse till you have a powder.
Set up two dozen snack size plastic bags and add to each: 2 tablespoons powdered oats, 1/4 cup regular oats, 1/8 teaspoon salt, and 1 tablespoon powdered milk.
When ready to use, pour contents of one bag into a bowl and add 1/2 - 3/4 cup boiling water, depending on how thick you like it. Cover bowl with a dish to seal in the heat and let sit a few minutes. (Also you can add cold water and microwave instead)
Topping ideas: shredded coconut, raisins, fresh or dried fruit, jam, syrup, nuts.
